Psalm 8, Part 2, Fiber Fun: Parade of Behind-the-Scenes- Projects, Literary Living, Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,

From 2020 to 2025, much of my life was split between New Mexico and San Diego as we visited my parents. My father sadly passed away last fall. Now that the sharp bite of grief is a bit dulled, I'm ready to begin my 'New Mexico' life again.
As I settle back into my rhythm, I’ve found that one of the most healing things I can do is simply return to my sewing room—and, in the process, face those projects that have been waiting patiently for my attention.
Every so often, I’ll be stepping ...

May 11: A Mother's Day Blessing, Finding Joy in Bikes and Sewing Notions from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Mother’s Day! My husband and I celebrated Mexican Mother’s Day yesterday and had a lazy morning on the patio.  This afternoon my grandbabies and daughter came to visit.  We transplanted Aloe Vera cactus into various pots for friends and family.

This week was busy with errands, visits, and my granddaughter’s basketball championship games. Next week will be even more active with a day trip to Albuquerque, two days with my oldest grandson, a day trip to El Paso museums, a sit and sew, and more basketball championship games and ...

April 27: Psalm 6:2-3, Fiber Fun, Literary Life, Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,

Thank you for stopping in!  I was able to stay home for much of the week, which I love.  Yesterday was an my youngest grandson played in an exciting basketball game and then, we had an amazing trip to one of "my libraries", about 25 minutes away.  I'm so excited to show you a "squirrel" that has pleasantly invaded my mind.

So, please, enjoy your favorite beverage as you read on!

HERE'S A WORD - Faith...broken faith...faltering faith.  Here I will share a Scripture about these topics.  No judgement, only love.

I have struggled deeply ...

April 13: Psalm 23, Fiber Fun, Literary Life, Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
Thank your for stopping by!  I hope you are all doing well.
Life has been so active with much accomplished behind the scenes!  We are gardening, deep cleaning, organizing and decluttering.  My method is simple - keep a paper grocery sack in my closet and another one in my sewing room.  The goal is for both of them to be filled ready for donation bi-weekly.  I am also culling my library.  My literary interests have changed over they years, so I am making room, or not, for books that meet my current interests.  I'm also making increasingly more ...

April 6: Psalms 139:23, Fiber Fun, Literary Live and Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
I hope you all are doing well!   Thank you for stopping by!  This week has been hectic, yet in the end, it all has worked out.
My Daddy ended up in the hospital, but was released yesterday.  Just in case we had to go to San Diego, we packed two weeks of activities into five days.
This included two birthday celebrations, errands, doctor appointments and such.  Happily, he was well enough to release to him home vs. a rehab center. I'm so eager to visit him and Mama!
Hence, not too much stitching was accomplished, but joy ...

March 2: Psalm 42:11, Fun Fiber Projects, Literary Life and Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
Thank you so much for popping in this week, especially as I am posting quite late.  My questionable friend, fibromyalgia decided to pay me a visit these last 10 days, so life has been...quiet.  While resting with a heating pad on my back, I accomplished quite a bit of slow stitching, though!
Thursday and Friday were strict resting days as we had a long awaited date night on Friday to dine at a fancy restaurant and see the musical "Pretty Woman".  It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 44th anniversary.
UPDATE:  I changed the size of ...

February 23: Jeremiah 2:13, Fun Fiber Projects, Literary Life and Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
Thank you for visiting!  We've been home a week and I'm slowly getting back into a routine.  The weather has been so warm we took our portable greenhouse down so I could prune the plants and they could enjoy some nice temps.  I hope your weather is also enjoyable!
Please pull up a chair, get cozy and enjoy this weekly post.

HERE'S A WORD - Faith...broken faith...faltering faith.  Here I will share a Scripture about these topics.  No judgement, only love.
When our faith is faltering, how do we react?  Do we go too ...

February 16: Does Forgiveness Mean We're Losing? Fun Fiber Projects, Literary Life and Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
We've spent a wonderful 10 days in San Diego with my family.  Daddy is doing well - he's gained about 5 of the 20 pounds he lost.  So far no pain.  We are grateful for every day he is pain-free.  It's hard to believe the oncologist's prognosis as Daddy is doing so good!  Of course, Mama is happy and enjoying life.  I am so looking forward to our next visit!  You will find pictures of our trip in the Finding Joy section.
Also, a quick tip for formatting pictures on Blogger.  Open your post; click ...

February 8: Isaiah 41:10, Fun Fiber Projects, Literary Life and Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,

Thank you all for visiting!  Back in January I mentioned about some issues with photos in Blogger.  I found an easier, new-to-me method to insert them from my phone.

I simply open the draft of my blog post on my phone and, following the normal procedure, insert the edited picture in the section I want.  To find the photo tool on my phone, I have to swipe left.  I am careful to ensure the blog post I'm working on is closed on my computer.  Likewise when I'm working on m computer:  I make sure the post ...
